Type: Arrest Warrant

Text: On 11-22-2008 at approximately 1029 hours, AST arrested, Melissa
Bartels age 37 of Ketchikan, on a $500.00 warrant. The warrant came from
Failure to Appear for a Disposition Hearing, original charge of Driving
with out a Valid Operator License. Bartels was arrested at her residence
and remanded at the Ketchikan Correctional Center without incident.

Type: DUI
Text: On 11-21-08 at 2024 hours, the Alaska State Troopers contacted
Holly Beach (46 YOA of Wasilla) while she was operating her 1989 Toyota
Pickup in the Pizza Hut parking lot in Wasilla.  Beach was contacted
after she was reported as a REDDI vehicle.  Investigation revealed that
Beach was driving while intoxicated.  Beach was arrested and booked at
the Mat Su Pre Trial Facility where she was held on $10,000.00 bail plus
a court approved 3rd party custodian.

Type: Warrant Arrest 
Text: On 11/21/2008 at 2300 hours, AST contacted Ilya Kuzmin, age 38, of
Big Lake at his residence. Investigation revealed that Kuzmin had a $500
warrant for failure to appear on the original charge of shoplifting.
Kuzmin was arrested and transported to MSPT where he was held on $500
bail.

Type:  MICS 6th Degree
Text:   On 11/21/08 at approximately 2245 hours the AST South Central
DUI Enforcement Team stopped a vehicle near the intersection of the
Parks Hwy. and Stanley Rd. in Wasilla for a moving violation.  The
operator was identified as Gary L.L. Seltenreich, age 23, of Wasilla.
Seltenreich was found to be in possession of marijuana paraphernalia
containing a small amount of marijuana.  Seltenreich was issued a
summons to appear in the Palmer Court for Misconduct involving a
Controlled Substance in the 6th degree and released at the scene.

Text:   On 11/22/08 at approximately 0036 hours the AST South Central
DUI Enforcement Team stopped a vehicle near mile 52 of the Parks Hwy. in
Big Lake for a moving violation.  The operator was identified as Travis
M. Jones, age 30, of Big Lake.  Jones was found to be operating the
vehicle under the influence of alcohol and was arrested for DUI.  Jones
was remanded to the Mat-Su Pretrial facility where he was held on a
$5,000.00 bail.

Type: DUI, Minor Operating After Consuming Alcohol, and MCA
Text: On 11/22/2008, approx. 0350 hours, Alaska State Troopers stopped a
white 1998 Dodge pick up truck near the intersection of Bogard Road and
Seldon Road in Wasilla for a moving violation.  Investigation revealed
that the driver, 18 yoa Kammi L Gilbert of Wasilla, was operating the
vehicle while intoxicated and in violation of her provisional drivers
license.  The passenger, 19 yoa Phillip E. Nielsen of Anchorage, had
also consumed alcoholic beverages in violation of the AK 21 yoa drinking
law.  Gilbert was arrested and remanded to MSPT where she was to be
released to a sober third party with additional conditions as well as
issued one citation for driving in violation of her provisional driver’s
license.  Nielsen was issued one summons for MCA and released at the
scene.  The vehicle was released to a sober driver.

Type: Driving While License Suspended

Text:  On 11/22/2008, at approximately 0010 hours, Alaska State Troopers
contacted 27 yoa David M. Bosch of Wasilla for a traffic violation at
KGB and Edlund Rd. near Wasilla. Investigation revealed that Bosch was
driving with his license Suspended. Bosch was issued a summons and
released at the scene. The vehicle was released to the registered owner.

Type: MOCA, MCA(x2)
Text: On 11/21/08 at approximately 2333 hours, the AST South-Central DUI
Enforcement Team stopped a 1997 Chevrolet sedan for an equipment
violation, near the intersection of the Palmer-Wasilla Highway and Old
Towne Drive, in Wasilla.  The driver of the vehicle was identified as
Samuel F. York, age 18, of Wasilla.  Investigation revealed York had
driven the vehicle after he had consumed alcohol.  York was issued a
summons to appear in court at a later date for Minor Operating a Vehicle
After Consuming Alcohol and Minor Consuming Alcohol.  Further
investigation revealed Samantha N. Harris, age 19, of Wasilla, was a
passenger in the vehicle and had also consumed alcohol.  Harris was
issued a summons to appear in court at a later date for Minor Consuming
Alcohol.

Type: Death Investigation

Text: On 11/21/08 at approximately 2346 hours Alaska State Troopers
responded to the unexpected home death of Samuel R. McLeod, age 72, at
his residence in Wasilla.  Investigation revealed McLeod died of natural
causes while the Next-of-Kin was present. No foul-play is suspected and
the Medical Examiner was notified.

Text:   On 11/22/08 at approximately 0008 hours, the AST South Central
DUI Enforcement Team stopped a vehicle at Vine Rd. and Calico Dr., in
Wasilla, for an equipment violation.  Investigation revealed Sean A.
Carpenter, age 43, of Wasilla, was operating the vehicle with a
suspended driver’s license.  Carpenter was issued a summons to appear in
the Palmer Court and released at the scene.

Text: On 11/22/08 at approximately 0420 hours, the AST South-Central DUI
Enforcement Team contacted Lloyd C. Ives, age 24, of Wasilla,  as a
passenger in a vehicle that was stopped for an equipment violation near
the intersection of Main Street and Nelson Road in Wasilla.
Investigation revealed that Ives was on probation with a no alcohol
condition.  Ives had consumed alcohol.  Ives was arrested for a
probation violation and remanded at the Mat-Su Pre-Trial Facility were
he was held without bail.

Text: On 11-22-08 at approximately 0302 hours Alaska State Troopers
contacted Norman J. Sbrusch, age 20 of Wasilla, as the driver of a 1988
Toyota Land Cruiser during a traffic stop for an equipment violation on
Bogard Road near Peck Street.  Investigation revealed that Sbrusch was
driving the vehicle while his license was suspended.  Sbrusch was issued
a summons to appear in court and released.  Sbrusch was also issued a
citation for Failure to Carry Proof of Insurance in the vehicle.

Case Number:  08-96688

Type:  MCV-I

Text:  On 11-22-2008 at approximately 0858 hours, Alaska State Troopers
responded to the Parks Highway and Meadow Lakes Loop intersection for a
two vehicle collision.  Investigation revealed a 1992 Ford F250 driven
by Daniel Klamer, age 42 of Anchorage, was traveling northbound on the
Parks Highway when a 1999 GMC Sierra driven by Adam Spencer, age 16 of
Wasilla, pulled onto the Parks Highway from Meadow Lakes Loop, causing a
collision with the Ford.  Both parties reported wearing seatbelts.  Both
parties were injured and Spencer was transported by EMS to Mat-Su
Regional Medical Center.  Both vehicles are estimated to be a total
loss.  Spencer was issued a citation for Failure to Yield to Vehicle
Entering Intersection after a Stop.

Type: MVC-D
Text: On 11-22-08 at approximately 1922 hours, the Alaska State Troopers
responded to a single vehicle rollover on Fairview Loop at Davis Road in
Wasilla.  Investigation revealed that John Glass (65 YOA of Wasilla) was
driving his 2003 Honda CRV eastbound on Fairview Loop when a 1994 Ford
Escort sedan driven by Austin Nail (19 YOA of Wasilla) stopped abruptly
in front of Glass to turn onto Davis Road.  Glass was unable to stop on
the snowy road and drove to the right of the Ford Escort to avoid
striking the car in the rear end.  Glass’ vehicle went into the ditch
and rolled once before coming to a rest on its top.  The damage to the
Honda CRV is estimated at $5,000.00.  No injuries were reported and all
occupants reported wearing seatbelts at the time of the incident.  Nail
was issued a citation for failure to use turn signal.

Text: On 11-22-08 at approximately 2240 hours, Alaska State Troopers
arrested Daniel Jacob Kish, age 24, of Wasilla.  Kish was contacted at a
residence on Northway Lane near Greenforest Drive, Wasilla and arrested
for an outstanding arrest warrant for Failure to Appear on the original
charge of No Valid Operator’s License.  Kish was transported to MSPT
where he was remanded into custody on $750.00 bail.

Location: Selawik

Case number: 08-96764

Type: Assault IV-DV

Text: On 11/22/08 at approximately 1010 hours, Alaska State Troopers in
Kotzebue received a report of an assault in the village of Selawik. 
Investigation revealed that Henry Harris, age 25 of Selawik, had
assaulted a family member in their residence during an argument.  Harris
then left the residence, and Troopers have yet to locate him in the
village.  The victim did not require medical attention due to the
assault.  The investigation is ongoing.  Alcohol appears to have been a
factor in the incident.

Type:  DUI, Refusal
Text:   On 11-22-08 at about 0330 hours, Alaska State Troopers stopped a
black BMW for several moving violations.  Investigation revealed the
driver Barbra CHASION of Oklahoma was driving while intoxicated.
Cashion also refused to provide a breath sample.  CASHION was remanded
to Fairbanks Correctional Center and held on no bail for DUI and Refusal
to Submit to a Chemical Test.

Type:  Motor Vehicle Crash
Text:  On 11-22-08, at 0914 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to
mile 8 of the Steese Highway for a single vehicle rollover.
Investigation revealed Danyell M. Chambers, 27 of Fairbanks, was driving
north on the Steese Highway in her 1998 Ford Explorer.  Chambers was
taking off her jacket when her vehicle started drifting to the right.
Chambers over corrected the drifting and the vehicle went out of
control.  Chambers’ vehicle then left the roadway and rolled several
times down a slight embankment, crashed through a tree line and
eventually stopped upside down.  Chambers was the only occupant of the
vehicle; she was wearing her seatbelt and only complained of soreness on
her body.  The vehicle’s airbag system did deploy.  Chambers was issued
a citation for Negligent Driving.

Type: Vehicle Theft

Text: On 11/20/08 at approximately 0113 hours, Alaska State Troopers
received the report of a stolen vehicle from Dennis Butts, age 45 of
Seward.  Butts reported his silver 2004 Chevrolet pickup was taken from
in front of his residence on Starr Lane in Seward.  At approximately
0245 hours, Butts located his vehicle at a nearby trailer court.  The
vehicle was processed for evidence and returned to Butts.  Investigation
is continuing.
