Louisiana - Livingston Parish church fire investigated

Baton Rouge, November 20, 2008 – State Fire Marshal Butch Browning announced today that investigators of the Fire Marshal’s Arson Investigation Division and officers of the Livingston Parish Sheriffs Office as well as the Federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms are investigating a suspicious fire at the Iglesia Church in Livingston Parish.
The Livingston Parish Fire District # 5 Fire Department was notified of a fire at the Iglesia Church at 25825 Aztec Street, in the Eastover Estate Subdivision, at 2:54 a.m. this morning. The investigation of this fire and 3 additional fires in the same general area of Livingston Parish is ongoing.
If anyone has any information on any recent fires in the Eastover Estate area of Livingston Parish, please contact the State Fire Marshal’s office at 225-925-4911 or the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office at 225-686-2241 as soon as possible.
