Fayetteville, NC - Traffic Fatality

On Friday, October 3rd at approximately 1923 hours, Officers responded to single car traffic accident in the parking lot of 3833 Ramsey Street.
The preliminary investigation revealed the driver of a 1995 Honda Civic was traveling at a high rate of speed when he struck a concrete based light pole.
The victim has been identified as 24 year old, Derek Scott Anderson of Sarasota Drive. Anderson was airlifted to UNC Chapel Hill, where he later died of severe head injuries.
The incident is under investigation by the FPD Traffic Unit.
