DC - Homicide in the 3500 block of Clay Place, NE

The Metropolitan Police Department is investigating a homicide which occurred in the 3500 block of Clay Place, NE.
At approximately 8:55 pm on Saturday, October 4, 2008, officers from the Sixth District responded to the 3500 block of Clay Place, NE, to investigate the trouble at that location. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male lying on the sidewalk suffering from apparent multiple stab wounds. The victim was subsequently transported an area hospital and pronounced dead at 9:44 pm.
The decedent in this case has been identified as 40-year-old Paul Simmons of the above address.
This case remains under investigation by detectives from the department’s Homicide and Sexual Offenses Branch.
