September 30, 2008 – Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the shooting of a man at 4514 Fallen Oaks about 6:55 p.m. on Monday (September 29).
The suspect, Richard Jordan Sr. (b/m, DOB: 2/20/45), is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the 230th State District Court. He is accused in the shooting of Richard Jordan Jr., 41, of Houston, who suffered a gunshot wound to the abdomen. Jordan Jr. was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he is in critical condition.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant R.D. Chandler and Officer L.K. Lovelace reported:
Jordan Jr. and Jordan Sr. were involved in a verbal altercation and during the argument, Jordan Sr. produced a gun and shot his son (Jordan Jr.).
