The Salem Police Department investigated an accident at 11:09 am on September 24th, where a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Lancaster Dr NE and Devonshire Ave NE, leaving the pedestrian with life-threatening head injuries.

The investigation revealed that 62-year old Salem resident Linda Moe was in the crosswalk crossing Lancaster Dr NE in a westerly direction when she was struck by a 2004 Pontiac Montana Van being operated by 76-year old Donna Albertini of Salem. Donna Albertini was westbound on Devonshire Ave NE and was attempting to turn left (southbound) onto Lancaster Dr and apparently did not see Linda Moe in the crosswalk.

Linda Moe was transported to Salem Hospital. Donna Albertini was not injured and was cited at the scene for Failure To Yield To A Pedestrian In A Crosswalk, Bail: $278.00
