Arizona Fraudulent Identification Task Force shuts down Major Fraudulent I.D. Operation

Two people arrested. Both face numerous criminal charges On September 9, 2008, at 8:00 a.m. investigators from the Arizona Fraudulent Identification Task Force served several search warrants in the area of 35th Avenue and Cactus as a result of a three week investigation into the illegal manufacturing of fraudulent government documents.
Following a traffic stop, AFIT served a search warrant at 6131 N. 27th Avenue in Phoenix. Inside the bedroom was a high end manufacturing operation that included two I.D. card makers, printer, scanner, software, Dell computer, completed fraudulent documents ready for delivery and $200 in U.S. currency. One person was arrested on scene.
AFIT then served a second search warrant at 3668 W. Aster Drive in Phoenix seizing additional evidence to include the start of a second manufacturing location which included a computer, printer, scanner, blank ID card stock, pre-printed ID card stock, social security number card stock and completed fraudulent identification cards. An attached room on the west side of the residence, only accessible from the rear yard, was in the process of being used as a manufacturing location.
