Detectives request the public’s assistance in gathering information related to the death of a black male found in the roadway of Lamon Street on August 30, at approximately 3:45 a.m.
29-year old Codis Simmons died of a gunshot wound. Simmons was last seen around 2:00 a.m., at Club Illusions on Rowan Street intoxicated and attempting to get a ride home.
Anyone with information on this shooting is asked to contact Lead Detective Tracey Bowman at (910) 433-1856. To leave an anonymous tip and be eligible for up to a $1,000.00 reward, contact Crimestoppers at (910) 483-TIPS (8477).
