Madison, WI. August 24, 2008
Dane County Sheriff’s Office Deputies along with Belleville Fire/EMS, and Med Flight responded to 1487 Range Trail in the Town of Montrose for a Motor vehicle vs. Bicycle crash.
Nicole L. Werner, 33 of Verona, was traveling Southbound on Range Trail on her Raleigh bike. Robert L. Farbacker, 55 of Belleville, was Northbound on Range Trail in his Dodge Stratus. Farbacker was negotiating a left turn into the driveway of 1487 Range Trail when he pulled in front of the bicycle operated by Werner. Werner struck the front on Farbacker’s vehicle and landed on the hood and windshield.
Werner was transported by Med Flight to UW Hospital for serious non-life threatening injuries. Farbacker was transported by Belleville EMS to Meriter Hospital for neck pain.
Werner was wearing a helmet and Farbacker was wearing a seatbelt. Farbacker was cited for Failure to Yield Right of Way.
