Idaho – Fatal Crash US 95 Near Parma Claims One

On August 17, 2008 at 4:04 pm, the Idaho State Police responded to a one vehicle rollover northbound US95 at milepost 51, near Parma. A 2000 Ford pickup, driven by Matthew McBride, 26 of Wilder, was traveling southbound on US95 when he lost firewood from his vehicle. A 2006 Toyota passenger vehicle, driven by Arculano Rios, 53 of Nyssa, was traveling northbound on US95. Rios tried to swerve to avoid hitting the wood and went off the east side of the road. The vehicle rolled and came to rest on its top. Rios died on scene of the crash. Passengers of the Toyota, Annette Klein, age 47 and Rosemary Rios, age 14, both of Nyssa, were transported to Holy Rosary Medical Center of Ontario with minor injuries. All occupants of both vehicles were wearing seatbelts. Crash is under investigation by Corporal Gripton.
