Louisiana State Police – Troop I is currently investigating a single vehicle fatality crash, which occurred on La 13 South of Crowley.
A Nissan pick-up truck driven by thirty-eight year old Ryan LeLeux of Crowley, was traveling south on La 13 when LeLeux attempted to pass two other vehicles. traveling in the same direction. LeLeux lost control of the vehicle, traveled off the eastside of La 13, overcorrected and traveled off the Westside of La 13. The truck then struck a utility pole, overturned ejecting the unrestrained driver.
This is the fortieth fatal crash and the fort-fourth fatality Troop I has investigated thus far in 2008.
