Scotts Bluff County Special Enforcement Stats Released

(Scottsbluff, NE)- Six people were arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and 11 juveniles were cited for being Minors in Possession of Alcohol during a series of special enforcement efforts aimed at impaired drivers.
Troopers with the Nebraska State Patrol Troop E Headquarters- Scottsbluff conducted two weekends of high visibility patrols, and checkpoints during the month of July. The special enforcement efforts were paid for thanks in part to a $3,600.00 grant from the Nebraska Office of Highway Safety (NOHS).
Twenty-seven speeding citations were issued and 8 people received citations for not wearing their seat belt. Citations were also issued for a variety of other violations to include, Open Container (2), Driving Under Suspension (1), Possession of Marijuana less than an Ounce (1) and Stop Sign Violations (5).
