Houston - Fatal Stabbing at 10300 Shady Lane

July 24, 2008 - Charges have been filed against a juvenile suspect arrested in the fatal stabbing of a juvenile male in the 10300 block of Shady Lane about 3 p.m. on Wednesday (July 23).
The juvenile suspect, 15, was arrested at the scene and has been referred to the Harris County Juvenile Probation authorities on a charge of murder.
The victim, Robert Dewayne Benton, the suspect’s brother, 17, suffered a stab wound to the abdomen and was transported to Lyndon B. Johnson Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeants M. Sosa and P. Muñoz reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a stabbing call at 10300 Shady Lane and found Mr. Benton had been stabbed. Further investigation determined there had been a physical fight between Benton and his brother inside the apartment, which led to the stabbing.
