(Lincoln, NE)- The Nebraska Legislature passed LB111, effective September 4, 2005, which created the Missing Persons Information Clearinghouse. One of the mandates of this statute is to distribute missing person’s notifications to media outlets across the state of Nebraska.
Media outlets will be notified via email on of all missing Nebraskans reported or cancelled/recovered during the previous week. For your convenience, we have provided you with a link to our Missing Persons website. By simply clicking on the link, you will be able to print off flyers or review the gathered information surrounding the disappearance.
Any information received from the public pertaining to an investigation of a missing person will be redirected to the originating law enforcement agency.
Nebraska State Patrol serves as a central repository for information on missing persons, including children. Information gathered is collected and disseminated to assist law enforcement agencies, public and private organizations and the citizens of Nebraska in locating missing persons.
