Highmore, SD - Fatal Crash

A Highmore man lost his life in a crash around 4:45 yesterday afternoon. The crash happened in Highmore at the intersection of Highways 14 and 47.
A GMC pickup driven by Francis R. Hale, 80, of Highmore collided in the intersection with a motor home driven by A. Lyman Palmer, 70, of Meshoppen, PA.
Hale was pronounced dead at the scene. Hale was not wearing his seatbelt.
Neither Palmer nor his passenger were injured in the crash. Both were wearing their seatbelts.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol continues to investigate the crash
