Idaho – Motorcycle Crash Southbound sh71@17.8 Injures One

*** Correction, the crash occured northbound on State Highway 71, not southbound. Also, it was Washington County that assisted with this crash, not Adams County. ****
On May 24, 2008 at 12:31 P.M. the Idaho State Police responded to a one vehicle crash southbound State Highway 71 at milepost 17.8 near Cambridge. The vehicle a 1995 Harley Davidson motorcycle driven by, 74 year old Gene C. Strawn of Ontario, Oregon, failed to negotiate a curve, struck an embankment, and came to rest. Strawn was taken by lifeflight to Saint Alphonsus Medical Center in Boise with head and chest injuries. His status is unknown at this time. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor. This crash is under investigation by Master Cpl. Nauman with assistance from the Adams County Sheriff’s Office.
