May 1, 2008 Officer Involved Shooting In Concord
CONCORD – The Concord Police Department has the preliminary finding of the Attorney
General’s investigation of the incident that occurred on May 1, 2008 involving officers of this
Department and the discharge of a firearm. We are currently reviewing the preliminary report
and assessing its findings.
We are thankful that only one minor injury was sustained during this incident. We also
appreciate the thoroughness of the Attorney General’s investigation and will continue to
cooperate fully in any way we can with them until the investigation is complete.
We will not make further comment on this matter at this time as we need to carefully review the
preliminary report and conduct our own internal review of this incident.
