Major Incidents Reported for March 10, 2008
Robbery:

Around 10:30 Friday night, employees at the Lucky Corners Bar located at 1350 W. Waterloo Rd reported being robbed. The employees reported that the suspects entered the bar armed with handguns and demanded money. The suspects fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The robbers were described as two black males dressed all in black clothing wearing ski masks. Anyone with information is asked to contact our department.

Felony reports for the weekend events
Keith Allen Lawhorn, 23, 1040 Hardesty Blvd., Akron, Ohio was charged with Felonious Assault and Weapons under Disability. Keith was identified as a person who was firing shots when the victim was fatal shot and killed. The victim was Deiondra Blair, 26, of Fultz St in Akron. The homicide remains under investigation.

Joel Jason Metcalf, 31, 4255 Brixton Dr., Stow, Ohio was charged with Willful Flee. Stow PD contacted APD to check the welfare of Joel. Officer located Joel at 225 E. Cuyahoga Falls Ave. When officer attempted to talk to Joel he fled in his vehicle and led them on a high speed chase up E. Tallmadge Ave. He was apprehended at 935 E. Tallmadge Ave. Joel had a warrant for domestic violence out of Stow.

Zarin Lawrence Henry, 43, 646 Easter Ave., Akron, Ohio was charged with Theft by Deception. Officials at National City Bank contacted Akron Police on behave of the victim. The victim stated that he was withdrawing money for Zarin who was doing repairs for the victim. Zarin told the victim he would do repairs but needed money to buy supplies. The bank stated that the withdrawals were totaling over $6000.00. The victim is a 76 year old person and does not appear to be of sound mind.

Stephan W. Zushin, 38, 1297 Brandon Ave., Akron, Ohio was charged with Domestic Violence. Stephan has a prior conviction for domestic violence from 2-27-08.

Nathan L. Wilkins, 34, 959 Cordova Ave. #A, Akron, Ohio was charged with Domestic Violence. Nathan has two prior convictions for domestic violence from 9-27-07 and 6-12-98.

Erik D. Mahone, 28, 996 Copley Rd., Akron, Ohio was charged with Receiving Stolen Property. Erik was stopped at Dart and Euclid driving a stolen vehicle out of Painesville, Ohio.

Jonathon Ray Edwards, 19, 1285 Nome Ave., Akron, Ohio, was charged with Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Receiving Stolen Property, Weapons under Disability and Misrep. The police were called to 100 Vesper St. for a stolen auto call. Jonathon and Christopher Adkins were apprehended with out incident. A Loaded gun was in plain view inside the vehicle. Jonathon was found to have a warrant from Summit County for robbery. He gave the police a false name in hopes of not going to jail.

Christopher L. Adkins, 19, 540 W. Easton Rd., Clinton, Ohio was charged with Receiving Stolen Property, Carrying a Concealed Weapon and Possession of Marijuana. The police were called to 100 Vesper St. for a stolen auto call. Christopher and Jonathon Ray Edwards were apprehended with out incident. A loaded gun was in plain view inside the vehicle. A baggie of marijuana was found on the drives side of the seat where Christopher had been sitting and admitted to the marijuana being his.

Johnny J. Jones Jr., 28, 198 Crosby St., Akron, Ohio was charged with Domestic Violence. Johnny assaulted the victim because he was upset over the condition of the victims home.

Biren R. Patel, 21, 417 Sherman St., Akron, Ohio was charged with Theft. Biren was observed by store security putting clothing inside store bags then going into the restroom to remove the tags. He left the store and was stopped and brought back inside. Biren had $1,100.12 worth of merchandise.

Tiondre D. Penn, 30, 137 E. York St. #3., Akron, Ohio was charged with Domestic Violence, Menacing and Child Endangering. Tiondre has a prior conviction for domestic violence from 11-9-07.
