SYNOPSIS:

On 03-07-08 at about 0022 hours, Santee Deputies responded to a robbery at the Wienershnitzel, 1601 N MAGNOLIA
AV, El Cajon. Two store employees/victims reported two male suspects entered the Wienershnitzel through the side,
employee entrance. One suspect was wearing a ski mask, sunglasses and the other was wearing a hoody sweatshirt
over his head and sunglasses. Upon entering, both suspects immediately began beating both employees and demanding
money from the cash registers. Both employees defended themselves until one of the suspects placed an employee in a
headlock and threatened to stab him. At that point the other employee cooperated and emptied the contents of the cash
register, store safe and placed it into a white, cloth bag. The suspects grabbed the bag and fled on foot away from the
business.

Railroad Enforcement Officer Todd Lejeck was in full uniform, in his marked vehicle, backed up against an adjacent
business having his In-N-Out burger, when he observed the two suspects running away from Wienershnitzel. Lejeck saw
the suspects carrying a white bag, running and removing clothing and sunglasses. Suspecting they had just committed a
crime, Lejeck chased after the suspects and ordered them on the ground at gun point. One of the suspects complied and
the other continued running.

Deputies immediately established a perimeter and conducted a vehicle stop of the getaway driver from information given
by the detained suspect. The bag of money, clothing and sunglasses were recovered within the perimeter. The
outstanding suspect was identified and contacted at his home nearby. A curbside line up successfully identified Miguel
