Apple Valley, Ca. - Shooting Incident

On Saturday, February 9, 2008 at approximately 11:00 p.m. deputies from the Apple Valley Police Station responded to the Food 4 Less on Bear Valley Road at Kiowa regarding a shooting incident.

Deputies where advised that while inside Food 4 Less in Apple Valley, the victim and two friends were involved in an argument with three white male adults. The argument carried into the parking lot and the white males left in a silver van. The victim stated the van returned and approximately eight white male adults exited the van. The suspects began yelling racial slurs and charging the victim and his friends. The victim and his friends fled, attempting to open doors of closed businesses. The victim was shot twice by an unknown suspect. The suspects fled the scene before police could arrive.

The victim was flown by helicopter to Loma Linda Hospital. The investigation is ongoing and the suspects are still outstanding.
